Vista Self Defense
Happy Halloween Vista! If you live in Vista, California, you probably want be aware that an attack can happen anywhere…even in your own home! Though this story hits its 5-year anniversary in 2019, it serves as a grim reminder that one has to be prepared.
Perhaps you remember this story. It comes from Vista California a popular suburb in North County San Diego. It is about a Vista woman who was stabbed multiple times on October 31, 2014 by someone in a Grim Reaper costume. San Diego County officials say that it was at approximately 2:00a, when a person in a Grim Reaper costume attacked the woman inside her home on Thibido Road in Vista, California.
The story is hard to believe — especially as the woman was inside her bathroom drying her hair!
Though it may sound like a nightmare, it is important to note that this kind of thing can happen to anyone — even you!
The woman sustained non-life threatening knife wounds but one can only imagine the terror that she must felt; especially when facing one of the most scariest masks for two decades. Indeed, she must have felt as if she was starring in a real-life scary movie.
All humor aside — this is not a joking matter — the woman said the attacker had a female voice. So police believe the attacker could very well be a woman.
Vista Police used K-9 units to search the area but all efforts turned up empty. And at the time of this publication, we could not find an update to the story. The suspect could very well be — still at large.
